Not feeling happy, looking in the mirror every day at my lips. Noticing they had thinned and, lost their shape. (“For me, I am not going to grow old gracefully. I’m going to kick and scream all the way”). If there is something I can do to slow down time I’m doing it!
Wanting to take action, I took time researching the best course of action for my lips.
Masters Aesthetic, explained, “you can change the lips shape naturally defining around the edge of the lips creating a cupid’s bow for a more youthful look. By just injecting the outlines of the lips.
STEP BY STEP LIP ENHANCEMENT.
When arriving at the salon, Leah from Masters Aesthetic, put numbing cream over my whole lip area. Whilst the numbing cream was getting to work. Leah laid me down on her beauty chair/bed and, explained that the procedure would take no longer than 15 minutes.
Relaxing on the chair/bed, to my surprise the numbing cream worked so quicker, even my teeth were numb. After 10/15 minutes Leah placed a stress ball in each hand, as she was ready with the injections.
Deciding to close my eyes and think of something else. Leah started by telling me, to take a deep breath in. As she starts with the injection, placing it into my lip line very gentle. Then asking me to gentle exhale as she injects the filler.
Staring at the top of my lips, defining & cupid’s bow. Around the edging of the lips was painless. The creating of the cupids bow was a little uncomfortable.
When the top lip is complete, Leah wastes no time and gets started on my bottom lip. I know the picture is a little gruesome, but I never knew there was any blood. The injection was over in minutes as Leah promised.
Wiping the blood away from my lips, with a medicated wet wipe. You can see the blood stop instantly. My lips were still very numb.
Leah explained that she needed to massage, my lips to spread the filler. Massaging my lips for about 5 minutes, I found this quite relaxing. Leah then placed a cream to the lips and gave me the after-care advice.

AFTER-CARE

Not going to lair, you will feel the injection, but that’s the price of beauty (LOL).

I’m just a year behind you. 39 in 3 weeks. I have never had botox, but I have been increasingly interested in lip injections. My top lip has always been thin, and as I age it’s only getting worse. I am terrified of needles, but… Something’s gotta give. Thanks for this post. I am not sure if seeing it helped me, or scared me more, but, I am definitely even more interested now after seeing your results!
