Summer Hill Garden Centre – Choosing Your Christmas Colours
Christmas is such a magical time of the year. The anticipation, the build-up, planning surprises for loved ones and then the big day itself. What’s not to love?
I start planning in August choosing the perfect colours for decorations and planning which rooms they’d look best in.
I have been going to Summer Hill for the last 12 years their Christmas team, have always put on an out of this world display of different themes to give you inspiration by helping you to visualise how combinations of decorations will look at home. (this is very important as everyone will be taking note of your tree).
Candy Cane Christmas
Love this family fun look for Christmas, the Candy Cames come in different sizes, that suits every tree. This is a simple look that is easy to do. You can place them around your home, just by putting them into a vase with some lights.
Pretty Unicorn Christmas.
What girl, would not love this look at Christmas? Pinks, Purples, Creams, that complement one another and would make any home look pretty this Christmas. From Birds, Butterflies, Flowers, Feather, to tree ornaments including Unicorns. (I would love to do pinks, but my hubby would not be pleased lol).
A Timeless Christmas
An all-time classic theme with gold, red, orange and green tones which are both bright and tasteful. Everything from traditional red and gold ribbon to everyone’s favourites – robins and golden bells. Santa ornaments and not forgetting the traditional angel or star to top off the tree. With a traditional Christmas Poinsettia.
Gold & Silver To Shine Christmas
Gold and silver glitter contrasted against deep blacks to show off the classy but decadent side of Christmas. Try using some GLITTER ribbon instead of tinsel to finish the tree off. Everyone loves a sparkling Christmas!
A Posh Christmas
Makes a real statement this Christmas, this theme is hard to beat. The rich burgundy, gold and cream shades of these sumptuous decorations are equally perfect for trees, wreaths or garlands. A tree finished with some gorgeous burgundy and gold roses has a striking, regal impact. (I’M LOVING THE SILVER CROWNS YOU CAN USE AS A TOPPER OR GET AT LEAST SIX OF THEM AND PLACE INTO THE TREE)
Let It Snow This Christmas
Let it snow this Christmas, using the cool blues and whites of this theme will evoke chilly nights by the fire. This theme really brings a little outdoors indoors. With glitter snowflakes, glass ornaments. Using Reindeers ornaments in this theme as they are really on trend. (TKMAXX HAVE SOME AMAZING REINDEERS SERVING DISHES IN STORE) it’s sure to get anyone in the festive mood.

Santa’s Red Christmas
When you think of Christmas you will always think of the colour red. It’s a very traditional colour, of Christmas and Santa. I think their tree looks lovely with mostly everything red with just a hint of Gold. The Santa’s are great and you can place them around the house.
It’s A White Christmas
This is my colour of chose for Christmas, I just the simply bust fresh look when you do your tree all white. I never get bored of white. You can always add another colour if you wanted a change.
How beautiful are these tree’s in the above picture? It’s liked you are in a dream filled with, flowers, butterflies, bows and more. See how you can use one colour in your chosen theme, to create contrast all you need is to use different shades of colour ie: the pink and purple.
Christmas Table Idea’s
Do You ever get stuck for Christmas table ideas? This table tree looks stunning you can place in the middle of the table and add your chosen colours with lights. Make sure you continue your theme to the rest of your table ie: Table Cloth, Napkins, Crackers and so on.
